As the director at the Young Actors Company (YAC), I guided young performers through the creative process, fostering their skills and passion for theatre.

I directed a production of Wooldridge’s adaptation of Animal Farm with the Year 7 to 9 group. This project involved meticulous planning and rehearsals, ensuring each student understood their character and contributed meaningfully to the ensemble. My direction aimed to bring out the best in each actor, creating a powerful and cohesive performance.

To support the production, I designed and facilitated thematically relevant workshops integral to the students' development. These included introductory classes on movement, script analysis, improv, and chorus work, crafted to enhance the students' understanding of theatrical elements, building their confidence and competence on stage.

My work at YAC was dedicated to creating a dynamic and educational environment for young actors to explore their creativity and grow as performers, bringing compelling stories to life and inspiring the next generation of theatre talent.
